Terra Magica Immersion A contemplative painting workshop in Istria

Designed by Tatjana Krizmanic and Daniela Miljan, Terra Magica welcomes beginners and working artists alike. At the heart of the workshop is Tatjana's approach to artistic seeing: a practice that releases creativity, joy, and presence in everything you do.

One week in the colors and light of the Istrian peninsula. Individual and group instruction, outings to extraordinary locations, awareness exercises, shared meals — and time to wander on your own. The week ends with a group show and celebratory dinner. Daily painting and meditation instruction.

The workshop is based on Santa Katarina Island, just across the bay from the medieval town of Rovinj. We sketch at local markets, roam cobblestone streets, and paint at the edge of the sparkling Adriatic.

Daily studio classes and demonstrations take place in a sunlit ballroom at Villa Santa Katarina — a generous, beautiful space to drop into the work. Instruction covers materials and techniques, intuitive sketching, and the kind of creative unblocking that opens well beyond the canvas. One-on-one time with Tatjana is built into every day.
