Illuminations paintings inhabit the rich space between tradition and immediacy. Drawing on the legacies of modern realism and post-impressionist color, the still lifes, landscapes, and figurative scenes embrace both structure and spontaneity.
In these works, moments are not simply recorded — they are illuminated: an ordinary table becomes a vessel of memory and intimacy, a hillside unfurls in radiant light charged with longing, a gathering of people swells with the warmth of shared joy. The artist collects these fragments of daily life and distills them into compositions that are at once timeless and contemporary, lyrical yet grounded in observation.
Illuminations: Moments Gathered situates the act of painting as revelation — a way of seeing anew, and of gathering the fleeting into lasting form.
