Archival print on acid free paper, 22” X 16”
New Moon is a motif that I return to often - small harbor and a church tower, dreamy night sky. I have painted large and small scale versions of this composition. It reminds me of time spent in small villages on the Italian and Croatian seaside. The one in this print portrays a small village of Tellaro in Italy, just below the Ligurian Coast on the Bay of La Spezia. Over the years, I have done some pieces that could be considered a “mash-up” of several favorite places in Croatia, but I have continued to consider this piece the key painting from which they all originate. The deep blue hues of the sky and the dancing stars serve as a vibrant background to the lively colors of the small houses of the seaside village. Originally the piece was created on watercolor paper with dry pastel pigments.
The fine art prints are produced on acid-free papers using archival inks to guarantee that they last a lifetime without fading or loss of color. All art prints include a 1" white border around the image to allow for future framing and matting. Offer ends December 23rd.
